Corn Chowder

Servings 8 cups
Ingredients
- ½ c butter or margarine
- ½ c onion finely chopped
- 6 tbsp flour
- 4 bouillon cubes
- 2½ c hot water
- 1½ c cooked potatoes cubed
- 16 oz whole kernel corn undrained
- 3 c hot milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp white pepper
Instructions
Heat butter in a large pot and cook onion until tender but not brown.
Add flour and stir and cook for 5 minutes over low heat, do not brown.
Add bouillon cubes and hot water, stir to combine fully. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients, stir, and bring to a boil.
