The start of the 50th Anniversary Celebration brought Walt’s Famous Chili back to the parks. At Dino Diner, guests can get a Corn Chip Pie with Walt’s Chili. Dino Diner – located within the Dinoland U.S.A. section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom – features Walt’s Chili on a number of menu items. Today, we are focusing on one simple dish from the menu, Corn Chip Pie with Walt’s Chili.
While the overall dish might not look like something absolutely insane, you might want to think again. The flavor in this chili is on point with a slight kick at the end of the bite. Here’s what you get: corn chips covered in Walt’s Favorite Chili with cheddar cheese, sour cream (we opted to get ours without the sour cream) and green onions. It’s simple, it’s classic, and it’s truly delicious!
Overall, this is a great snack to enjoy during your wild day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. However, make note that this is very much a snack. The portion size for the price point may be a little disappointing to guests looking to stretch their budget. We also do wish that you could get a substantially larger amount of chili to fully cover the chips. (The chip to chili ratio is not balanced, LOL!) Ultimately, this is one snack that we could see staying in the parks past the 50th Anniversary Celebration, but only time will tell if it stays!
In the end, this is a fun snack to enjoy Walt’s Favorite Chili. It’s moderately filling and tastes fantastic. If you find yourself exploring Dinoland U.S.A. and your tummy starts to rumble, head on over to Dino Diner to grab this snack while it lasts! What do you think about Corn Chip Pie with Walt’s Chili?
