There’s so much more to enjoy than wine at Wine Bar George. We were recently invited in to try the all new cocktail, The Hoot. The Hoot is a special cocktail made with Hooten Young American Whiskey (aged 12 years), G.E. Massenez Crème de Cassis and a splash of Ginger Beer.
The star of this cocktail is the 12-year aged Hooten Young Whiskey. Hooten Young, owned by Delta Force Master Sergeant Norm Hooten and Tim Young, collaborated with Master Sommelier George Miliotes to create a truly top-shelf whiskey. The spirit is distilled to 189 proof, barreled at 140 proof, then bottled at 92 proof from second fill barrels. The double barreling adds both strong oak flavors with mellow maple and a smooth finish for one unique sip.
The Hoot has a strong punch from the whiskey that is tamed by the perfect pour of G.E. Massenez Crème de Cassis, adding a delightful sweetness. The cocktail is finished with a splash of Ginger Beer giving a unique spicy-sweet finish with the proper amount of bubbles to the drink.
We’re going to go ahead and say this is the perfect summertime drink with a delightful color – all thanks to the G.E. Massenez Crème de Cassis – and the spicy-fruity flavor. This is one cocktail that we could enjoy with any meal at Wine Bar George, and should be on your list of must-try drinks at Disney!
