Disneyland Corn Dogs
Ingredients
- 1 c cornmeal
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 hot dogs
- Popsicle sticks or bamboo skewers
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Beat in buttermilk, egg and vegetable oil.
Put skewer or popsicle stick into hot dog leaving room for a handle to hold.
Heat oil to 350ºF.
Coat hot dogs in batter.
Fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.
