Disneyland Corn Dogs

Disneyland is home to some world-famous hand-dipped corn dogs. These delicious meals-on-the-go are perfect while exploring the parks. With a crispy shell and a soft and warm inside these are a popular snack or meal for many guests.

Add some magic to your next party with this Disneyland Corn Dog recipe that is sure to be a crowd favorite!

Disneyland Corn Dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 c cornmeal
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 hot dogs
  • Popsicle sticks or bamboo skewers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

  2. Beat in buttermilk, egg and vegetable oil.

  3. Put skewer or popsicle stick into hot dog leaving room for a handle to hold.

  4. Heat oil to 350ºF.

  5. Coat hot dogs in batter.

  6. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.
