The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is home to some incredibly popular treats. Celebrate spring and make a fresh Violet Lemonade right at home! This copy-cat Disney recipe is perfect for beating the heat in the Spring and Summer and is a great way to add a touch of Disney magic to any gathering.
Frozen Violet Lemonade
Ingredients
- ¾ c water
- ⅓–⅔ c fresh purple violet petals
- 4-5 tbsp granulated sugar to taste
- Juice from 2 medium lemons
- Ice
- Fresh violet blooms for garnish
Instructions

Put water in a microwave-safe glass. Microwave on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes until the water begins to boil. Let stand to cool for approximately 2 minutes.

Stir in violets and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Let steep until cooled to room temperature stirring one to two times. When cooled, stir in lemon juice.

When ready to serve, strain the mixture then place in a blender along with ice and blend to create a frozen lemonade.

Top with a fresh violet and enjoy!
NOTES:
- The mixture may turn blue or green while steeping, this is normal. The color will change immediately when adding lemon juice.

For a more intense color, cover and steep in the refrigerator for 24 hours or up to 3 or 4 days if desired.

This can be made over the stove using a saucepan. Bring water to a boil remove from heat, then follow the rest of the directions.
