Love doesn’t bite, it barks!
Valentine’s Day in 2021 is about to be… interesting, so why not make an Oreo-stuffed Chocolate Bark? While we love the idea of going out for a nice meal, or planning a special evening of bowling, dancing or seeing a movie, that might not be an option as the holiday draws near. So, we decided to create a few super-simple recipes that anyone can make to make this Valentine’s Day one to remember!
We are starting off the list with one recipe that will take less than an hour from start to finish! This Oreo-stuffed Chocolate Bark is thick, decadent, and quite delicious. Grab a lined pan (we suggest clear plastic wrap or parchment paper), Dark and White Chocolate melting wafers (we prefer to use this pack of melting wafers whenever we make bark, they have more flavor and are super easy to work with), Oreo Thins, and some sprinkles.
Oreo-stuffed Chocolate Bark
First, begin melting half of the dark and white chocolate in separate bowls in the microwave using 30-second intervals and stirring in between. Once the chocolates are melted, pour the dark chocolate in the pan and spread evenly to coat the bottom. Pour the white chocolate over the dark and swirl the two chocolates using a toothpick.
Next, place the Oreo Thins over the chocolate in an even layer and gently push each cookie down to secure it in place. Lastly, repeat the steps for melting and swirling chocolate for the top layer and coat the top with crushed Oreos, sprinkles, and any other toppings you desire! We added a drizzle of pink colored white chocolate melts to add an extra dash of color to the treat. Place the pan in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set. Remove from the pan, cut, and enjoy!
Spice things up by adding peppermint extract to the white chocolate and using Mint Oreo Thins (this is also great for Saint Patrick’s Day!). Chocolate lovers would love using Dark Chocolate Oreo Thins in place of the classic Oreo Thins!
Oreo-stuffed Chocolate Bark
Love doesn't bite, it barks! This Oreo-stuffed Chocolate Bark is the perfect treat for that special someone.
- 20 oz Dark Chocolate
- 20 oz White Chocolate
- 1 package Oreo Thins
- Sprinkles optional
- Pink Candy Melts Drizzle Pouch optional
In two microwave-safe bowls, melt 10 oz. of Dark Chocolate and 10 oz. of White Chocolate (stirring every 30-seconds until fully melted).
In a lined pan, pour the melted dark chocolate and spread evenly. Pour melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate and swirl with a toothpick.
Cover the chocolate layer with Oreo Thins, pressing each cookie down slightly.
Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.
Melt the remaining 10 oz. of Dark Chocolate and 10 oz. of White Chocolate, and repeat swirl technique over the cookie layer. Sprinkle the top with Oreo crumbs, sprinkles and drizzle pink chocolate to finish.
Refrigerate another 15-30 minutes or until the bark is fully set.
Cut into squares and store in an airtight container.
