Celebrate National Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day with these recipes from Disney chefs!
We all enjoy our Disney snacks, which is why we are going to share two recipes for the four-pawed and furry members of Disney families. They’re still part of ‘Ohana! These two recipes are very simple and easy to make that produce tasty treats that were created by Disney chefs.
Peanut Butter, Bacon, Banana Biscuits
Ingredients
- ¼ c mashed ripe banana
- 2 c smooth peanut butter
- ¼ c honey
- 4 c whole wheat flour
- 1 c wheat germ
- 1 c oatmeal
- 1½ c water
- ¼ c ground peanuts
- ¼ c crispy bacon chopped
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325ºF.

Mix together mashed banana, peanut butter and honey until smooth.

Add in flour, wheat germ and oatmeal. Add water as mixture is combining to help incorporate all ingredients.

Add peanuts and bacon making sure they are evenly distributed.

Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4″ (for crunchier treats roll to 1/8″ and cook for 10-20 minutes).

Cut using your favorite cookie cutter. Re-form scraps, roll and cut until there are no remaining scraps.

Place biscuits on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Use biscuits within 5-7 days, they can be kept in a refrigerator for up to 14 days or longer in the freezer.
Oatmeal Parmesan Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2½ c whole wheat flour
- ¼ c parmesan cheese
- ¼ c rolled oats
- ¼ c dry milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1 egg
- ½-¾ c water
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Combine whole wheat flour, Parmesan cheese, rolled oats, dry milk, salt, sugar, margarine, liquid smoke and egg in a mixing bowl.

Slowly add water 1/4 cup at a time until dough is soft and pliable.

Roll out on a floured surface to 1/2″ thickness, cut into shapes using small cookie cutters.

Bake on a lightly oiled cookie sheet for 25 to 30 minutes.

Cool completely then store in an airtight container.
