The Good Guys Burger from Halloween Horror Nights is one absolutely ridiculous food item and here are my thoughts on it!
We have made it to month #2 of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando, and The Good Guys Burger might be my new favorite thing to eat! This ridiculous item on the menu sounds crazy, looks insane, but tastes like nothing else. Ultimately, this burger is filling and can be shared if you plan on snacking around at Halloween Horror Nights.
A beef patty is topped with cheese, crispy pork belly, and pickled jalapeños sandwiched inside of a doughnut. The entire burger is then covered with red icing and a sprinkle of fruity cereal. The burger plays heavily on the fence between sweet and savory. Each bite with every ingredient takes you through a wild range of flavors, textures, and honestly – emotions!

Thankfully, the doughnut is plain and not glazed. The sweetness from the red icing and fruity cereal is all the sweetness this burger needs! Some might not enjoy the crunch element from the fruity cereal. However, I ended up really enjoying it. The pickled jalapeños were the perfect element to round out the burger to me. It added a subtle amount of spice to balance out the sweetness from the icing – I just wish there were more jalapeños (the burger is served with only two pickled jalapeños)!
While I loved this burger I am not 100% confident I will buy it again. I did share this burger with a friend, and I honestly do not think that I would be able to finish one of these burgers alone! This would only be due to the price point of the item. At a whopping $10.99 plus tax, this becomes a try-it-once item for me. For a small upcharge, you could head into Krusty Burger for a burger with fries and a drink. To me, this would end up being a far better deal – especially if you’re sharing meals during the event.
What separated this from other doughnut burgers is that the doughnut is not glazed. This helps reduce the overall sweetness level to just the cereal and red icing. I will say that whoever decided this when creating the dish made the right call! The patty itself was tasty and while basic in flavor, provided a great bite.
While the photos may not show it fully, the patty was around the size of one Big Mac patty. In this, I think it works, but for the price I would love to have seen two patties on this or just have a thicker patty!

Ultimately, this is one of my favorite things that I have eaten at Halloween Horror Nights this year. The theming is amazing, the flavor combination rocks, and it’s just an outrageous thing you won’t find anywhere else!

I had this and it was pretty good! The cereal on top threw me off a little bit though…
