To start off your meal at Rose & Crown, many would recommend the Scotch Egg. The beautiful hard boiled cage-free egg is wrapped with an even layer of sausage before it is coated in bread crumbs and fried to a crispy golden-brown perfection. The Scotch Egg is served with greens and mustard sauce that compliment the fried egg beautifully.

This delightful appetizer is crispy from the bread crumbs, while the center is soft and smooth. The hard boiled egg is perfectly cooked and not overdone. Adding the mustard sauce to each bite brings another layer of flavor that takes the starter to a new level. It brings a slight kick of heat that pairs wonderfully with the Scotch Egg.
