Sunday Brunch: Chicken and Waffles

January 14, 2018 by KingdomCuisine Leave a Comment

Sunday brunch has become a trendy treat, and today we are starting a Sunday Brunch series. We visited Narcoossee’s to give their spectacular Sunday Brunch menu a try – and it was beyond magical! This waterfront dining location at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a signature restaurant on Disney’s property, and the brunch is no exception.

From the main course selections comes this gorgeous plate of chicken and waffles. This wonderful dish features a soft-centered and crispy waffle that is topped with creamy collard greens and beautifully fried boneless chicken breast and thigh. The dish is garnished with maple bacon-bourbon jam, house-made apple butter and candied walnut crumble.

The flavor from this dish is out-of-this-world! The sweet apple butter pairs perfectly with the somewhat-spicy fried chicken. Meanwhile, the bacon-bourbon jam compliments the collard greens. Each element has a place and plays a big role into making this one picture-perfect and satisfying meal!
