I hear this phrase a lot – “Disney is just for kids…”
While some of the attractions are geared for kids, and character greetings become…strange, there are still many reasons to visit the Walt Disney World Resort as an adult. Let’s take a look at 27 of those reasons (in no particular order)!
1. Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
Drink and eat around the world? Yes, please! The annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival transforms Epcot into a food lovers paradise. 2. Wine Bar George
If you love wine, then Wine Bar George must be on your list of things to try. Listed as one of USA Today’s 2019 Best New Restaurants In America, this location boasts over 300 selections of wine. Add on a selection of small plates, lunch specials, and brunch offerings and you have yourself one exciting restaurant.
3. Dessert Parties
Did you know that you can end the night in style with a firework dessert party? Whether you hop on board a boat to watch Happily Ever After, or enjoy an unobstructed view of Epcot Forever, these signature experiences allow a small amount of guests to enjoy beautiful and delicious desserts and drinks.
4. Brunch
You have to just love a good brunch, and there are plenty of places to go around the Walt Disney World Resort. Sip on endless mimosas at the top of the Contemporary or enjoy a refreshing Dole Whip Mimosa at Wine Bar George. Similar to Food & Wine, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival spans the entire park. Beautiful topiaries in the shape of iconic characters fill each area of the park for you to enjoy while snacking on fresh spring snacks.
6. Shopping at Disney Springs
This one is mostly self explanatory. Disney Springs has over 100 shops to browse in. Whether you’re looking for a new Lilly Pulitzer dress, or need a makeover from Sephora, Disney Springs has it all. At night Disney Springs comes to life
7. The VOID
The VOID at Disney Springs takes gaming to new heights. Strap on some gear and prepare to enter the world of VR Gaming. Pick between the Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire or Ralph Breaks VR game modes, and set off on one exciting adventure!
8. Epcot International Festival of the Arts
We probably sound like a broken record talking about Epcot festivals, so let’s list the final one (not counting Festival of the Holidays!). Festival of the Arts brings together culinary, performing, and visual arts together in one harmonious festival. Delight yourself in groundbreaking treats, shop the latest masterpieces, and catch a Broadway performance in one day!
9. H2O Glow Nights
H2O Glow Nights is the after hour party waterpark fans dream of. Typhoon Lagoon takes on a new vibe with a DJ, special lighting effects around the waterpark, special food and drinks, and a special guest appearance from your favorite sherif in town! Adults crave to know what happens backstage at a Disney Park. Why not take a tour? With endless options to choose from, Disney offers unique tours that will show you behind the magic on attractions, lands, even entire parks!
13. Golfing
Did you know that there are 4 beautiful golf courses at the Walt Disney World Resort? Choose between a 9-hole walking course or one of three 18-hole courses for a nice day in the delightful Florida sunshine!
14. Horseback Riding
Saddle up for a relaxing trail ride at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. These horseback rides are fun for the whole family! Even first time riders can hop on a horse and have a blast with helpful guides along the way.

Catching the latest Disney, Pixar, Marvel, or Star Wars movie at Disney Springs is truly one amazing experience. Strut down the red carpet to a photo spot and head off to heated, reclining seats with a dine-in theater!
19. Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Okay, we almost just left you there but we feel like we should elaborate a little bit more than that! The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a dinner show at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Inside of Pioneer Hall, guests are enchanted with exciting entertainment, delicious barbecue, and a pile of memories you will never forget! Oh, and you get free beer, wine and sangria.
20. Jellyrolls
Let the good times roll inside of this dueling piano bar. Make a request for a song, sing and dance along, and simply enjoy the night with friends!
21. Atlantic Dance Hall
When the sun goes down, the party begins at the Atlantic Dance Hall. This art deco ballroom is the place to go when you are ready to have some true fun at Disney!
22. Victoria & Albert’s
It’s not very often that you have the opportunity to dine inside of a AAA Five Diamond Award Winning Restaurant. Or one that has won this title consecutively since 2000. Victoria & Albert’s also boasts a wine list including over 700 selections and 4,200 bottles in the cellar.
23. Monorail Dine Around
Board the highway in the sky and enjoy 4 stops at signature dining locations around the Monorail resorts. This special offering is perfect for those who love sampling a little bit of everything as you go from resort to resort. Plus, it ends with reserved firework viewing from a private patio at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
24. Disney After Hours
Disney After Hours are specially-ticketed events that allow a small amount of guests to enjoy the park with next to no wait times. Hop on your favorite ride as many times as you want, or ride them all!
25. runDinsey
We’re circling back to the “why would you want to run on vacation” topic, but runDisney is something fun for everyone! Race weekends include an expo, special merchandise, food and drink options for participants, and a fun character-lined race course!
26. Cake Decorating Experience
Do you think you have what it takes to make a picture-perfect dessert? If not, that’s okay! The Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette’s Patisserie allows guests to act like a pro and make their very own dessert – with the help of trained pastry chefs, of course.
27. Magic
We know that this sounds cheesy, but the magic at the Walt Disney World Resort is truly real. And can be felt by everyone! Walt Disney believed that you should never grow up, and that’s a very valid point. Step foot into a park, stay in a beautifully themed resort, or dine in the heart of the story, and you will feel like you are six years old all over again.
